Why is Google stock options making a millionaire news ? Unless the writer wanted some of us mortals to introspect the decision to join a company in the height of dot com boom and get stock options. Infosys is doing bad too. I am not alone.

ESOP's are really good earnings when it comes to wise earnings.
People who joined Infy during 1991 to 2002 would have definitely become a multi millionaire now. Murthy’s driver is a classic example. (no of options depends on experience, role & year though)
Infy stock is going down; does that mean employees are exercing their options in bulk?
Personally even I got benefited from ESOP. But I was not wise enough to sell my ESOP's @ right time, still holding to it :(
EOD, ESOP rocks! Joining a growing start up company which provides ESOP would be a wise option! Of Course you may have to align your personal objective with org objective.
there is no right or wrong time to sell. It's upto the seller and the goal that he/she has set for the stocks to meet.
Arasa, I don't think insider sales is affecting the price much. Though it tells you a lot about the confidence of employees in their company.
Seeni, that is exactly my view. It is too difficult to time the market and sell at the highest point in any run.
Timing the market! Its not easy task to do, I am inline with the same view.

The revenue is from ads.
Barani - internet advertisement is an industry still has not seen it's peak. I would even say it is still in the niche mode. It has lot of potential. pity that there aren't many players who can provide this feature.
If you are thinking of starting a business, this could be one good business.

Sure, Localized ads, especially for devices like iphone will rule. You can even give the phone and talk time for free. Google is bidding for a cell phone spectrum next month. We may see something like that.
