You walk into an office with a series of doors. Someone who walks before you holds all of them open for you. How many times should you thank him/her ? If once then should it be for the first door or last ? Does it differ based on whether the someone is him/her ?

Generally, if a man is walking along with a woman it should be the man who should hold the door for her. Even if she holds the first door for you as she was walking in front of you from next door onwards you should take the lead and hold the door for her.

In elevators man should wait till all the women get onboard and only then he should enter. While getting out also man should wait till all the women get out of the elevator.

There is a subtle reason behind all these etiquettes (that involve women). hope you know what i mean?
